Advocating for children, working families and public safety have long been passions of mine – that’s why I consider it a true privilege to uphold these principles in Olympia.

While serving on the Pierce County Council, I helped set the county on a financial path to success during the economic downturn. As your state legislator, I passed the first bill in the nation to prohibit texting while driving. And as your state representative, I want to ensure the SR 167 and I-5 JBLM corridor projects are delivered on time and within budget.

I believe that when roads are improved to reduce congestion, families can spend more time together; when our neighborhoods are safe, our children thrive; and when you sit at your kitchen table to create a household budget, you expect lawmakers to exercise the same fiscal responsibility you do.
